since youve been gone...

i apologize. i have been gone for a while! my muse got me back on that good foot, shes been missing me. what can i say? im loved, ha! but, seriously, ive been working a lot more lately, so once i get in, im pooped. but, i have been trying to take some pics of what i wear on a reg...sometimes it worked, sometimes it didnt. so since i dont remember exactly what ive been up to everyday for the past month, im using the pics on my camera to be my reference...

you know those quick trips to the mall, just to pick up one thing, that turns into five... yea. this is what i wore once day. one of my fav t-shirts, ANIMAL from the muppet babies. (my brother used to call me that bc i was wild, and my hair resembled his a little. lol. he wasnt too nice to me when we were younger, ha! ) my "boyfriend" jeans. my FAVORITE, braided belt and bronze bag. but then after the first pic i took, i looked in the mirror and decided to give my belt a rest, and throw on a simple black leather belt, to bring out the outline of animal. idk which looked better...at that point it didnt matter bc i had to make my quick trip to come home and change for work. which do you like best?

this was my first day interning in the city. wanted to make a good impression but not look like i was trying to hard. and this is what i came up with. it wasnt the look i was going for but, after meeting the woman i was interning with, i gave myself a pat on the back. chic cool, mission accomplished. i want to be in the city for the rest of my life. I HEART NEW YORK CITY! everything about it; from the grit to the glamour. "it makes my heart warm"-chey.

this is just another day going to work. but this day was special bc i bought that shirt and boots, both from H&M. if you dont know, i love brown. i love H&M. and i love booties (especially if they are inexpensive... $39.50 inexpensive) and the bonus was THEY ARE COMFORTABLE! "hot damn, oh here we go again!" i really love my plaid shirt, too. in the pic, it looks brown but, its really black plaid. who said you cant wear black and brown together? i think this deep, rich brown can be worn with anything and everything. WORK it, girl! lol. yea, i know. im a loser. but, havent you missed this? ha. (my hair looked a HOT MESS THO, "daaaaayum, baby boii"-heartLESTER.)

NEXT UP... MY BULLSEYE BODEGA DAY WITH MY MUSE!

okay, so heres the deal. theres this chick Klaudia, who i abso-tuta-lutely ADORE. (shes going to luv that! ha.) and we since we love to shop, and have recently been ballers-on-a-budget, the BULLESYE BODEGA by TARGET was a perfect excuse for us to hang out in the city. There were 4 locations all around the city, but we went to the SoHo:489 Broome Street between Woosterand West Broadway., duuh?! i unfortunately have no pics of us actually shopping in the bodega bc we were just too focused on shopping everywhere else too. ballers-on-a-budget OUT THE WINDOW...sorta!! but we did buy these oh-so-cute booties by Sigerson Morrison for... wait for it... wait for it.. $40. SCORE!!

tell me they arent fab?! i kno. kudos to us :)

so we walked all the way from Broome to Union Square, just for some Cosi's annnnd boy was it good. Yes, i admit, it was my first time having some. she popped my Cosi cherry and thank you Muse bc I LOVE IT! yum. i could go for some of that right now actually, altho i had it last week. we'll get to that, ha! i found some amazing kicks in... i fogot what store it was, i WILL get them...when my budget is a little more forgiving. im still saving for my ultimate FALL WANT, if you remember (MacBook Pro)!

thats my grandmothers shirt from the '80s. as she states "i had that before you were born..." cool! anything to make me feel younger :) this is when i was still 21 :( oh, the memories, lol. lemme stop. and then i just went camera crazy and snapped and snapped and snapped. here ya go...

this was yet another day at work for me...

i love that i was a tomboy and it shows in my attire sometimes. simply a red vneck from express, the infamous camou shorts from old navy, and my white classic lowtop chucks. =p

AND THEN ON SEPTEMBER 18, i turned TWENTYTWO.

so after work (the 17th), a bunch of friends met up at Fridays for happy hour.

i traded my birthday tiara for a scarf, oooh how clever ;)

and then we were OFF to ATLANTIC FOR A VIRGO & LIBRA CELEBRATION!!!

and for the highlight of my weekend. yea sure, i had a great time celebrating with these kiddos. but, i had an even BETTER TIME... eating... at....
ahh! YES! we made a pit stop at SONIC! this bought back soo many memories. the yum, chicken toaster sandwich meal. (mouth watering) the TATOR TOTS!!! are you kidding me?! and BEST OF ALL.... THE CHERRY LIMEADE SLUSH! damn. this summer, im definitely taking a trip down there again. if we dont go to AC, ill go just for SONIC! yes, it IS that serious. and waiiit, they bring it to you on ROLLERSKATES!!! how cooooool is that? damn, im seriously missing my VA homies :( especially mybruddahBRIM. everyOTHER time we chilled at his house, it was Sonic time. shoot, its a little expensive, especially for the broke college student. but its sooo worth it. damn, i should write them and see if they will invest in one a little further NORTH JUUUUST FOR ME :) i swear, id be all the business they NEED! thats a shame, that i spoke this MUCH about a FAST FOOD restaurant. but its not like any other. OOOH MAN! missing it :(

a very good friend of mine was in twon for 3 weeks after not being home for 3 years, due to the being in the navy. so there were many parties and shindigs that we attended. this is one of them. house party attire consisted of a old navy off the shoulder sweatshirt, purple skinnys from H&M (first time wearing them altho i bought them in like july, lol.) some type of flats and MAD, MAD, MAD JEWELRY, SON! lol. idk. its getting late and im getting delirious (ive been up since 7am...dont ask, lol.) and this outfit is called, clearly people made a mess at my friends house the night before, so i went over to help him clean up only to find out that he did so already. sooo, just to feel like my efforts were worthy of something, i swept the floor for them and sat down and watched a japanese movie that i still do not know what happened! ha. i was wearing my disney couture thermal that I LOVE, its a patchwork mickey. so cute, dont hate! james jeans that i cut into cuffed shorts, ribbed tights from express, and the infamous boots that i stole from mi madre. haha.

i had another day interning in the city (ate at COSI's on BROADWAY, yum!). I LOVE IT. not only do i love my internship, any chance i get to go and just be FREE in the city, i cherish. and not to mention it was RAINING!!! thats another thing, i love. i love fall weather, and i love the rain. i knooooo, im a weirdo. but so what? i think RAIN is so sexy. damn! i only met one other person that loved the rain like i do, too bad he was a prick lol. anyways. i think i had the perfect outfit for that day. black long sleeve tee that i cut to make it scoopneck-ish; i always do that. prob have about 3 black ones, alone :) MARIGOLD(ha!) straight legs from forever. brown studded belt, hes a new fave. and my utility jacket, altho i love him, i think im still going to get the one urban has, idk man. its WARMER. mine has the look, urbans i would...UTILIZE...hahaha! i told you ive been up since 7...DONT JUDGE ME! im almost done. lol. oh yea, THEE brown boots. neeexxxt. lol.

LAST FRIDAY, i partied in the city, which i havent done in SOOOOO LONG! like i really cant remember the last time. ooooosnap. had some fun. went to touch(ahem!) D'OR(poppin!) and plumm(ahemahem.) but the point to the story is WE LOOKED HOT!

and that lil black thing under my thigh is my shoe... tell me they arent "FUEGO"!!!

yes, another day at work. but i was supposed to be going to a Paul Smith seminar in the city after work but bc ive been sick since FRIDAY (thats what happens when youre a HOTGIRL, like I...), i didnt feel like taking anymore chances. look what i was wearing. a forever sweater dress and PURPLE HUE tight :) but im not even going to lie, i was layered up, i had a long sleeve and a tank under that, and socks on top of he tights. i was not playing, haha!

okay. SO IVE UPDATED YOU ON MY LIFE! i am SOO SORRY AGAIN that i have been away for so long. i will try to never let it happen again. now, i will take myself to bed, hopefully, i can find swagger like us by ti kanye hov and weezy and live your life by ti and my style crush, rihanna (why is she so hott!?!!) on pandora, as i fall asleep. if not, jon and kate plus 8 will do. LOVE those kids, they are soo big now. but thats for another post. ive done enough damage tonight. love you all! (muse, i hope youre happy =p)
